Who I am

My name is Jérôme Nathanaël. I am a holistic therapist, spiritual researcher, musician and photographer, and for many years a software engineer before the inner path became my primary calling. I live in Paris, France, I travel when the world calls to me, and I write from that unstable and fertile place where thought meets Mystery.

I do not come bearing certainties to impose. I come with questions alive enough for us to seek together, and with orientations towards a more just and fraternal world, because a compass is not a dogma.

A more poetic way of introducing myself, borrowed from my artist’s website:

“A nomadic Jew, brother to all men, a Hasid imbued with all memories, all languages, all the signs invented by those who seek the True from generation to generation, companion to all those who want to establish here below the reign of Love, Justice and Peace, whether they be believers or not, that the age of domination and lies may come to an end; a little Franciscan, a little Sufi, a little Buddhist, a little anarchist, but an anarchist of Love.”

What these Dialogues are

The Dialogues of the New World are a bilingual French-English space for conversing with oneself, engaging in fraternal dialogue, discussing the times we live in, meditating on sacred teachings and celebrating the mystery of the Living.

The conviction that animates them can be expressed in a single sentence: to change oneself for the better in order to change the world. Not the activism that neglects the inner life. Not the contemplation that abandons the world. Both movements together, personal transformation as a political act in the deepest sense.

These pages draw on the great spiritual traditions, including Sufism, Kabbalah, Christian mysticism, Buddhism, Hindu wisdom and others, without ranking or opposing them. They also give voice to lesser-known contemporary works, such as the Dialogues with the Angel transmitted by Gitta Mallasz and the Revelation of Arès transmitted by Michel Potay, because the word of the Spirit is not sealed and revelation continues, beyond institutions and bygone centuries.

My approach is not that of the guru dispensing teachings to disciples. It is maieutic, Socratic: helping each person to bring forth what he already carries within, and to honour our common spiritual destiny, without creating dependence, without claiming to hold the truth.

What you will find here

Sources gathers spiritual and philosophical heritages: foundational texts with commentary, entries from a meditative abecedary, readings of living traditions. It is the space of long memory and transmission.

Horizons explores the inner path and the emerging vision of the world to come: spiritual awakening, the mutation of consciousness and concrete psycho-spirituality. It is the space for paths of inner work and the questions that open towards tomorrow.

Presences offers encounters with authors, sages and voices, in the form of reviews, co-written articles, interviews and a spiritual perspective on current world affairs. It is the space of encounter with the other.

Community is the living space for dialogue among those drawn to or questioning this approach: contributions, exchanges, feedback and, progressively, the traces of a fraternity taking shape.

An article appears roughly every fortnight, sometimes more frequently in response to events, always in this spirit of fraternal dialogue and free spiritual inquiry.

A work in the making

These Dialogues are not a collection of isolated articles. They shelter an architecture of thought already matured, unfolding over time.

At present, I am transcribing and reworking for publication the six lectures from my cycle The Passeurs of the New World, originally delivered in French to live audiences over recent years. They will appear progressively across the sections, divided into autonomous series and enriched with references. The living heart of my approach is entering the written word.

The lectures continue in parallel. I also go out to meet people, in the street, in various places, in unexpected conversations. Workshops are on the way for those who wish to deepen, over time and in a group setting, what these pages evoke and prepare.

This publication and my lectures are not two parallel projects. They are two forms of one and the same act.

Meeting one another

If something in these pages has spoken to you, if you carry a reflection, an experience or a voice that could join these Dialogues in any form whatsoever, I invite you to book a 45-minute exchange.

Not a consultation. A benevolent encounter between people who question themselves and feel responsible for our common future: to get to know one another, to think together, and to see whether a deeper dialogue might emerge, whether a co-written article, an interview for Presences, participation in the Community, or simply the rare pleasure of a conversation that matters.
